Raise your hand if you’ve ever been too scared to do something because of fear–I have both my hands up.
I used to be afraid to fail, afraid to raise my hand during class discussions, and for most of my life, I’ve been camera shy. That’s all starting to change. Speaking of change, I was not a fan of that either. I’ll briefly explain why. When I first met AJ he had long, shaggy hair just above shoulder length (trust me, it was a good look!) When he decided to cut it all off, I was angry. Even though I had no right to be–I was. For one reason only. I.Hate.Change.
It’s been a battle, but once we decided to live healthier it meant living outside our comfort zone and into the learning zone. We watched countless documentaries like “What The Health” and “Cowspiracy” and after that, we knew the little things needed to change. That’s something we all can do. There are plenty of resources out there, it just takes the will to want a better future!
To share my favorite quote by American Transcendentalist Ralph Waldo Emerson from his essay “Self-Reliance”
“It’s not the Destination, it’s the Journey.”
